While working on PCB trace width calculator tool in Visual Studio, my ctr+alt+0 key for closing curly (“}”) brace(bracket) just stopped working.
It is very annoying to be able to open a curly brace but can’t close that block without copying the character from some other line or trying some other key combinations without a success.
If you are able to type brace in notepad but not in the Visual studio, it means ctr+alt+0 is mapped to <view code> shortcut, here is the solution.
- On the Tools menu, select Options.
- In the Options dialog box, open the Environment folder, and choose Keyboard.
- In shortcuts list, find “View.ViewCode”, and remove it.
Now you can close your code blocks again.
